Electrical Technician

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Troubleshooting electrical problems on plant equipment
  • Performing routine and preventive maintenance on the plants internal and external electrical equipment
  • Troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controls and making minor changes such as force time adjustments
  • Assisting in planning, upgrading, and startup of internal projects and equipment
  • Maintaining accurate records of labor hours, documentation of preventative maintenance, and service orders
  • Adhering to all OSHA and National Electrical Safety Code regulations and procedures

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • An Associates degree or higher in electrical technology or at least two (2) years of electrical experience in a manufacturing,industrial or military environment
  • Willing and able to work rotating shifts, weekends, overtime, and holiday
  • Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day

What Will Put You Ahead?

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of industrial test equipment with troubleshooting and electrical skills
  • Experience interpreting process, instrumentation and electrical drawings
  • Experience with Control Logix, Device Net and Control Net
  • Experience with 480 volt motors
  • Experience troubleshooting process equipment (mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, etc.)
  • Experienceinstalling, troubleshooting and repairingAllen Bradley PLC andvariable frequency drives

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
