Stores Supervisor Warrenton & Albany, GA

Georgia-Pacific is currently recruiting for a Stores Supervisor for its Lumber mills inWarrenton and Albany, Georgia. This position will be responsible for managing $4M of MRO inventory. Reporting to the Area Manager of Purchasing and Stores, the Stores Supervisor will be responsible for two direct reports and managing all aspects of the Spare Parts Storeroom.

Georgia-Pacific is opening brand new state-of-the art Lumber mills in Warrenton & Albany, Georgia. The Warrenton location will replace our existing Lumber mill that is still in operation. This mills start up is anticipated to be June 2019. The Albany location will be is anticipated to start up in the Fall of 2019.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:


Manages and performs the overall Spare Parts supply operations, including receiving and inventory of maintenance materials, supplies and capital spares.

Manages physical setup of new storeroom operations at multiple lumber mill startups.

Conducts periodic review and analysis of the inventory including but not limited to cycle counting, slow moving and obsolete reviews, criticality and min/max reviews, repair & return transactions and system capabilities.

Ensures the storeroom is organized through shelf/bin and parts identification.

Tasked with identifying optimal inventory levels and assisting in developing criticality classifications for parts to track materials most critical to uptime.

Drive improvements in Vendor Managed Inventory.

Utilizes companys master data management tools and maintains local item master data in core system.

Manage New Stock item initiation process for facility. This role will be the primary owner of all new stock setup for the entire spare parts inventory to support startup.

Ensures compliance to all safety, purchasing, stores and environmental policies and procedures.

Able to lead a team and to solve problems that cross facilities.

Works to lead improvements across the supply function.

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:

A minimum of one (1) year of experience in inventory management or procurement operations
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, and have working knowledge of the other Microsoft Office products

Associates Degree or higher

What Will Put You Ahead?

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree with a concentration in supply chain management, logistics, or operations management

Five (5) years of experience in supply chain, operations, or maintenance
Experience with inventory management software (MP2 preferred)
Knowledge of maintenance, repair, and operating (MRO) parts
Three (3) years of inventory management experience
