Georgia-Pacific is currently recruiting for a Stores Leader for its Lumber mill in Warrenton, GA. This position will be responsible for managing $1M of MRO inventory. Reporting to the Manager, Purchasing and Stores, the Stores Leader will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Spare Parts Storeroom.
Responsibilities:
o Manages and performs the overall Spare Parts supply operations, including receiving and inventory of maintenance materials, supplies and capital spares.
o Conducts periodic review and analysis of the inventory including but not limited to cycle counting, slow moving and obsolete reviews, criticality and min/max reviews, repair & return transactions and system capabilities.
o Creates monthly reports for inventory accuracy and late shipments.
o Ensures the storeroom is organized through shelf/bin and parts identification.
o Tasked with identifying optimal inventory levels and assisting in developing criticality classifications for parts to track materials most critical to uptime.
o Drive improvements in Vendor Managed Inventory.
o Utilizes company's master data management tools and maintains local item master data in core system.
o Manage New Stock item initiation process for facility.
o Ensures compliance to all safety, purchasing, stores and environmental policies and procedures.
o Able to lead a team and to solve problems that cross facilities.
o Works to lead improvements across the supply function
o Manage/coordinate all maintenance and repairs of rolling stock and employees performing service on equipment
o Manage/coordinate all maintenance of facility grounds and employees performing these duties
Required
Qualifications:
o 3 years of experience in supply chain, operations or maintenance
o 1 year of experience in inventory management
o Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, and have working knowledge of the other MS Office Suite products.
o Must have strong communication, planning and organization skills.
Preferred
Qualifications:
o Associates'' Degree or higher strongly preferred
o Experience with inventory management software (MP2 preferred).
o Knowledge of maintenance, repair and operating (MRO) parts.
o 3 years of inventory management experience.
